Important note for people ordering birth certificates: There are TWO different versions they issue (in addition to whether it comes with the seal)! I had a birth certificate copy ordered several years ago for Real ID (parents had my original hidden away somewhere so safe even they couldn't find it). I was able to use it for my passport application. I had a different government entity that requires the city of birth to be printed on it (which it did not). A quick phone call (the two reps I have dealt with answered my inquiries promptly and politely) where I found out there are (at least two) different versions they can issue. I was told to call back once I place the online order for another to have the representative confirm the correct form will be issued. This option, to my recollection (and still is) not apparent anywhere on the online order form or the paper order form. They should issue the detailed form by default or provide an option on the order form so that others are aware of this...
