I always dread going to any government building for literally anything because it is never a pleasant experience. My visit to The Vital Records Office, however, was incredible! All the staff were very kind and helpful. I was in and out in under 10 minutes! I paid $25 cash for 1 copy of my birth certificate; all they asked to see was my drivers license and to verbally confirm my birth parents. I think walking down the street from the parking lot took longer than the entire process. After the helpful security staff and cheery Information Desk attendant directed me to the office, I signed in on the kiosk, took a ticket and was helped almost immediately. I parked in the nearby ParkMobile lot. There is street parking, but it was all full up. All in all, amazing experience!

For this to be a city/ government established business I was expecting long lines, wait times, and disgruntled employees that lacked customer service. This was nothing like the DMV. The staff was very welcoming. Signing in on the automated desk was a breeze and 3 minutes later (I kid you not) they called number. I was quickly assisted by a very pleasant woman. This was a great experience. She then gave me great directions to the next department I needed to visit. They are still practicing social distancing protocole and are accessible to the handicapped. This is the place you need to visit for you Vital records needs.

Excellent experience.. After security check as I was wondering where is this place, The lady at the information desk was very welcoming and helpful as she directed me where to go... as I entered inside, I went here for newborn's birth certificate.. checked in at the kiosk, was immediately called, got the certs and was out in 10 minutes!! Man!!! what a speed these people operate at! Must appreciate the staff as they are very efficient!.. Parking is bit of an issue i parked at underground parking lot.. it is convenient
