The nurses and staff at Greene Public Health were kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They made a stressful visit much easier. Grateful for their care and expertise!

We were on vacation in Greene County and had an exposure to a bat in our accommodations. We spoke to the Nurse, Kerry Miller at this HD—she said she would call our resort and have them collect the bat for rabies testing. Somehow she (and the resort?) deemed the bat finding a “none exposure” because it wasn’t hanging over our bed and let the bat go. Btw, the CDC and the adjacent county environmental HD representative, as well as our hospital system in our home state would have 100% requested for the bat to be collected for testing. Since the bat was not tested it is recommended (per CDC guidelines) that we undergo post-exposure rabies vaccinations. Terrible communication by Kerry Miller, inexcusable risk and unnecessary time spent and treatment because “someone” deemed a bat in our living quarters while we slept is a “non exposure”.

Very helpful. My son is on summer vacation here and needed a vaccine before going back home this weekend. Without the vaccine he wouldn’t have been able to start school. Very appreciative for Lynn helping and getting him in quickly !
