I was here as a witness in a case so basically just had to walk through security and then wait eternally to be called. The parking is abundant but you should get here early. The interior is decently marked for each department and security. Omg there are so many signs about weapons so don’t bring any. The court rooms are not comfortable so expect a sore back. Is there a hidden meaning behind uncomfortable seats?

Its a courthouse. But it is so incredibly huge and confusing to navigate. The staff there is very friendly so if you have trouble navigating inside just stop and ask someone and they will help you no problem at all. Save yourself the extra 349833162 steps because it really is that big! Once I asked for help it was no problem. Leave extra early and allow for time to go through security and to figure out where you are going.

I’ve got in trouble with the law back in 2014 and expunged my own first time offender in 2021. It took 6 months of going back and forth between Lawrenceville probation office and superior court for the judge to dismiss me from probation and to properly reinstate my rights. After a failed program of two years, time served of one year incarcerated in Gwinnett County Jail & Lee Arrendale Prison, and probation of four years, my discovery packet was all incorrect. Mugshots from the failed program I plead into is still online. My name in the Gwinnett County System is incorrect. Georgia Bureau of Investigation had advised me that they only receive information input by the agency who entered my information, that Gwinnett County has to correct my name. For over three years, my credit history, DMV records, GA department of labor record, and school record has been a mess. I filed for identity theft since my legal name in the system is incorrect. I can’t even access my free online credit report. Cases that I filed through the superior court regarding traffic tickets and whatnot never reached the judge nor did I get a reply. After six months, case I filed through the superior courts’ clerk wasn’t in their system. I had to spend hours on end at the law library located at the bottom floor researching my own cases since pro bono is only for family services, not for any criminal case.

Had jury duty and in the second group for a trial. They decide were were needed and I went home. When you have jury duty make sure you check in before sitting down or they don't know you are there and you won't get paid you $30 per day. Free parking in the front

When you submit a name change it's 90 days from the day THE PROOF of PUBLICATION is submitted not 90 days from the day you submitted the actual documentation and paid the court!!! I tried to explain I was receiving mis information from the clerk to the judges office and the woman on the phone didn't give a dam that the previous clerk dept gave me miss information for weeks- LoL y'all work together you can trickle that information down. What is so hard about feedback. I wasn't being nasty or anything she just didn't give a dam about information that could potentially lead to less calls and less confusion for people who are needing something important!! She was actually raising her voice on me. I thought that was funny I paid you guys to do a thing for me. I'm not a criminal who has court. Even if I was just listen to me especially when I'm not being nasty. Just giving feedback about a discrepancy. I wasn't trying to change the system or argue. But of course.. angry woman on the phone who was over it and over her job possibly. That's the nature of these things.. Thanks for the delays mis information and confusing process for something I need and paid for.
