I'm a public servant, I will be my entire life...when I go to a restaurant and they serve me mystery chemical in my drink, I expect my concerns to be taken seriously. FOIA obviously does not exist in Henry county...when some kid gets sick, maybe they will do something.

I have went for multiple car seat safety checks. Marissa is very helpful. We had been in a minor collision it was recommended to move my son up to the next seat we had ready for him because after even a minor collision the seats aren’t considered safe. Mine was defective from the start so we are ready to use a fully functional car seat. This is an extremely important program and Marissa is very passionate and genuine in her approach wanting all children to be as safe as possible on the roads! Even my car insurance didn’t speak to me about the seat change so I’m very happy we made contact and went for another check!!

So my experience is with the WIC office here in the Napoleon Health Dept. I initially walked in and stood at the windows for a few minutes with out being acknowledged. My child is close to 30 pounds and its freezing out so he was dressed heavily. So we had a seat. As soon as I sat down then they opened the window and asked who I was. They asked if I was on medicaid and I am not, so she asked for paystubs, which i didn't have because they told me it was a wellness visit on my last visit. So she asked if I could get them while I was there. Which initially I thought yes, I can find them on my phone. But the thing is they don't greet you, they don't greet your baby, and they don't offer you a room to do anything in. When I explained I can't do all this holding my 30 pound one year old and I am not going to have him crawl around on the dirty floor. I asked to reschedule. So then a lady im the background piped up and said "we are rescheduling into February so you're not going to have your benefits until then." It was never, let me hold your child for you or here is a room. This is a program specifically designed to help women and their children. But you go and you are met with very cold hearted women and in a building that is not designed for children to safely move around or mothers to breast feed, safely fill out paper work, etc. Its so sad and disheartening. I feel bad for all the moms and children who have to go here for help.
