The Knox County Courthouse is a magnificent piece of civic architecture. It is a dominant structure which commands attention, with its solid Joliet limestone construction materials. I used to sit in the grass under the shade of the trees and study there when I was a Knox College student (the college is across the street). I went back for a visit in 2019.

Walked around outside was seeking Lincoln debate locations. Enjoyed the plaques and memorials they had but didn’t find anything Lincoln related.

Friend Went here for a regular probation meeting didn’t realize he couldn’t do drugs and ride a bike without being stopped by police. Anyway haven’t seen him in about a year. Hope he’s doing ok friendly staff and a stunning old time look .

Took a neighbor to see his parole officer. Easily found a parking spot. Dude was in and out lickety split and I was not pestered once (although a passing policeman did try to bum a donut off of me).
