Very poor customer service with extremely defensive employees. It appears when you asked questions are voice concerns with the lack of customer service they immediately go to "you're not going to demeanor me". When the whole time it was not about them but about the service of this office. They directed us to use either Fedx or UPS overnight service since we needed to get a birth certificate back quickly. After spending $80.00 for overnight service to their office and supplying an overnight prepaid return envelope for them to ship it back to us (note as of this review it has not been shipped out). When we call the office they stated yes it is still in our office. When we asked why it had not been shipped back out, they stated "we don't call Fedx or UPS to let them know we have a package for pickup",, we just wait until they happened to stop by to delivery a package to us and then we give it to them. So their poor service is to get it filled out ready to ship, place it in an overnight supplied envelope then throw it into a box and wait. Why would this office recommend this method to us knowing that unless Fedx or UPS just by chance comes into their office they will not delivery upon their recommended service. And I guess the fact that they place the birth certificate into a prepaid supplied overnight envelope was not clue enough for them to realize it was highly important that the customer get it back quickly. So now I am out $80.00 dollars in overnight shipping cost because this office did not delivery on what they directed us they would do. But one good thing to come out of this is; baesd on my call to them and discussions of their poor quality service the Lenoir County Register of Deeds has decided as of this call their NEW policy is not to offer any overnight service. Great Job Lenoir County,,, Great Job.
