GO IN PERSON - Don’t give the VitalChek your money. It’s way faster and easier to collect a newborn birth certificate here directly. Parking meters in front or a lot ($8 max prepay, but will refund if you leave early). Security guard was super helpful and friendly. He will give you the form to fill out. Can pay the fee with credit card. Whole process maybe took 10min+parking time.

Getting a birth certificate here is extremely easy! They already have your baby's record on file, you just have to fill out a form validating who you are as the parent. This form takes 2 to 3 minutes to fill out. If there jd a line, that takes longer. I found parking right in front by arriving at 6:30 am, and sleeping until 8am.

Came here for my child's birth certificate, the security guard was able to explain the process for requesting the certificate which consisted of filling out a form and lining up for assistance. You do not need any appointment, walk ins are available. There is a parking structure so you don't need to worry about parking, it cost 8 bucks, be aware that they only accept cash. I was in and out in 5 minutes. They cost for the certificate is 32 dollars, add 1.75 if you're using a card.

No cash No parking! it's ridiculous who's carrying cash these days? In the 21st century, Federal Building in Los Angeles accepts cash only! is that legal???
