I’ve been calling the facility for over 3 weeks now! I’ve left message after message to get my high school senior in for his immunization with one return call but I was at work and couldn’t answer. My son went into the facility to make an appointment but was told that he needed a Parent to make an appointment and to call after Friday. I am a nurse and I realize the importance of following guidelines but their should be someone answering questions for concerns regarding your child’s health. It’s unexceptionable for a State funded facility turn away an Adult child(18) and tell him he needs his Mother to call.

They don't return calls when it comes trying to schedule a car seat check . Very unprofessional and not helpful to parents who are trying to make sure their kids are safe. Left several messages and never got a call back.

Macon county health department is a Great place to get various vaccinations. Considerably cheaper than going to my doctors office. It was also much faster than my doctors office. The staff was friendly, and I was in and out in under a half hour.
