Absolutely the worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve had some really bad ones. When I arrived, I admit I didn’t see the LEGO board out front indicating wait for the next available clerk. After the person ahead of me moved on, I stepped into the office (right side) where 4 women were engaged in light chit chat - none of whom acknowledged I was standing there. One of the ladies, who I believe I’m familiar with, asked me to step back out in the hallway and wait to be called. I obliged. Not long after, I heard someone say next, and I entered and made my way over to the window, and told the attendant I wanted to register a vehicle. I’d had someone else attempt to secure proper registration in my absence, but he kept being turned away (3 times). He’d been provided a list of items that may be used to establish/confirm residency. He’d gone back with documents in hand, only to be turned away again and again. It was my turn. I was armed with even more documents to prove residency; real estate tax notices, other vehicle registrations, tax payment receipts, utility bill, property deed…the only thing I didn’t have was by birth certificate, lol. The attendant immediately responded rudely to the proof of residency documentation, saying my name wasn’t on certain documents, which it was, except for one document, then she indicated I couldn’t register a car without a TN License, although it’s a family member’s car who actually lives in the city. I had her driver’s license as proof. The attendant and I went back and forth as to why she couldn’t complete the registration. I told her nothing she said made sense, given we had produced more than the required documentation. As I walked away I shared with her that I didn’t think anyone in the office knew what they were doing, and that I’d not experienced such idiots before. The attendant yelled something in the way of God bless you, and I retorted ‘l hope you know him. I went back into the office and asked for the clerk and one lady indicated he had left the office, and she didn’t know when he’d be back, so I called the main number and the directory provided a connection to the Clerk. I spoke with the Clerk, and shared with him what I’d just experienced. He seemed surprised that I’d been denied registration, based on what I shared with him. He immediately resolved the issue and registration was completed. It appears the people reporting to him require additional training and capability building, because in their current state, they do more harm than good. I hope he lets them know, they’re paid by taxpayers, and part of their roles is conflict and issue resolution vs initiation of either.

Mary-Ann Puritt has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I didn’t have a gift form when trying to register my vehicle, so she told me (very rudely) I would have to pay an extra 400 dollars to register it, even though I was GIFTED this vehicle. She then decided to sling my documents at me before I had even made a decision, so I decided to leave before I received anymore disrespect from this woman. Maybe if these people ever answered the phones I would have known about this gift form as I have been calling them for a week prior to this visit but no one ever picked up. Please can this woman it’s very apparent she doesn’t actually want to work there. There are multiple reviews already about how terribly she treats people posted in the last year and not much has changed. Mary-Ann Puritt really needs some additional training on how to speak to taxpayers funding her GOVERNMENT JOB as it seems she’s too senile to remember this fact.

Matthew R. Martin who is in charge of park services is a scary individual. I was visiting this town with my family when he approached us and made very alarming off color comments about us saying that we don't belong here. Matthew should be evaluated before he acts on his anger and hate of people who don't look like him.

Trying to tag a side by side and the man that answered the phone had no idea what he was talking about. Called back later and got some rude lady on the phone that kept cutting me off and not letting me ask a question. I just hung up. When I got there the lady told me people were getting stopped for operation of side by sides on city streets, I've seen several, after speaking with the Sargent of the Traffic Division he said that was not true, ITS LEGAL!!! I can't wait til they actually learn the road laws and she retires, she's been a pain for everyone for years.

Stopped by to renew my vehicles registration. As usual, the clerks here work fast and are cordial as long as you are. The build is pleasing in it's design and architecture. Only complaint I have is a few years ago I had a 93' S10 pick-up truck registered here and the details and paperwork have since "Vanished" from the records here. As far as I've been told.
