I am new to Maine and I am disabled, I have an extremely rude caseworker, she isn't helpful at all and makes a point in making sure I have as little assistance as possible , when I ask her questions or ask for help with anything she talks to me like I'm stupid and Get off the phone with her feeling horrible!

This is ridiculous I called at 8am accepted a call back, got that at 9:30 she sent me to somewhere else and it has been 3 hours and still on hold. And they wonder why people don't report

The 5 stars is just for Mike(didn’t catch his last name but he has a ponytail). My partner and I have been coming in for several months trying to work out his mainecare and snap situation, very complicated so I won’t get into it. Needless to say, GIVE MIKE A RAISE‼️ He has been the only actually helpful employee I’ve ever spoken to there. He was professional, compassionate, and went absolutely above and beyond to help us figure out what we needed to do, when it needed to happen, and all the details we needed. Normally we leave DHHS feeling hopeless, powerless, and with a big sigh of disappointment. Today was different because of Mike’s help. THANK YOU MIKE‼️‼️

My family has been blessed by the State of Maine providing benefits to us and countless others who's financial stability has been shaken throughout the years because of hardships, misfortune and or the uncertainty of our economy. So many Mainers rely on the services provided by DHHS from our elderly, those struggling with mental health, disabilities along with so many other various kinds of personal setbacks. Our State and community perform an incredible duty towards the care and well-being for so many suffering Mainers. Maine is a beacon to the nation of the strong bearing the burdens of the week and less fortunate. Im so thankful for the state of Maine and it's dedication to community and family.
