This place is HORRIBLE!! We made an appointment for 1PM. We arrived at 12:45PM. The lady at the front desk was extremely rude and impatient giving attitude. When we finally proceeded to the wait area they had us waiting for 2 hours!! It took so long we told them it’s taking too long and we have to reschedule. Went back the day after for a 9AM and again we waited for more than 2 hours! What is the point of making an appointment if they have you waiting there for more than 2 hours before you get seen. On top of it you get seen by the slowest and most rude people I have ever encountered! You tell them you have to go back to work and it has been 2 hours and they give you an attitude. Not an apology or anything else. Just a rude attitude and making us wait longer. HORRIBLE!!! Florida Department of Health in Manatee County, DO BETTER!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Denishka Monge! She has gone above and beyond helping me with my septic tank inspection following up, answering questions, and making sure everything was taken care of quickly. It’s rare to find someone this dedicated and genuine. Highly recommend working with her. thanks so much and bless your heart! 🙏

The Manatee Health Department has been amazing. When I first arrived, Patricia greeted me warmly. The office manager and staff were empathetic to my needs and incredibly kind. I found the Manatee Health Department to be more competent than any of the hospitals I've visited in Florida. I don’t understand why some people would leave negative reviews; it seems like they don't appreciate excellent care. This health department truly went above and beyond for me. When the phlebotomist drew my blood, I felt no pain at all. Thank you, everyone! I am so grateful for the Manatee Health Department. It’s unfortunate that many hospitals in Florida do not provide the same level of care. I look forward to my return visit next week. Thanks everyone ❤️

After waiting nearly 1hr and a half on the phone, I finally reached a female representative. She instructed me to hold on, transfer me, and then the automated voice was requesting a mailbox number. When I called back the same lady answered and told me she was going to report the individual who was not answering her phone then transferred me again and no answered again, then call back and no one answered. 😐This incident lasted for the entire duration of my two-hour wait.. what a mess now is closed and no one answered and got no help….😒

I had a very positive experience getting my yellow fever vaccine at this clinic today. The entire staff was professional and friendly, but I especially want to highlight the receptionist Karol — she was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She answered all my questions thoroughly, made sure everything was clear, and really made the process feel smooth and stress-free. Thank you so much for that! The only thing to note (just so others can plan accordingly) is that the wait time was quite long. We arrived at 8:30 AM and didn’t leave until around 11:30 AM. Most of that was waiting for the vaccine itself to be prepared and administered. It’s not a huge issue — the care was excellent — but if you’re in a hurry, it’s good to know you might need to set aside 2.5–3 hours. Overall, highly recommend this place for travel vaccines. Clean facility, knowledgeable team, and great customer service. I’ll definitely come back if I need anything else. Thank you!
