I called about a request to get a birth certificate for my adult son who is gravely sick. I believe I was transferred to register of deeds (Kimberly Griffin) department. The lady I spoke with , (not sure if it was Kimberly or another female staff member) was so polite and helpful , walking me thru what needed to be done. I took notes and followed her instructions and mailed the request off , 7 days later we have birth certificate in hand! I have lived in Ohio most of my adult life, so was pleasantly surprised to see that IN my "home state" OF N.C., employees were so kind and helpful . Great job, I'm sure it is mostly a thankless job, but today this is a big THANK YOU!!
