I am a professional who renews my license through DPH. The process for this lacks organization. Multiple days to reach staff via phone, email, or online tickets. Staff are rude and unhelpful. I have heard this from countless colleagues as well. Please do better to support those who are working in the interests of public health.

I spent hours writing and putting together a detailed report for the Department of Public Health. I sent it in regarding my husbands care at a rehab facility with photos of injuries, hospital records, and a lengthy description of what had happened while he was in the facility. I gave them names of individuals who told me to make the report as well, one of the individuals was a nurse who actually worked at the rehab and told me to report what was happening to my husband! I also told them how they refused to give me any records of the injuries and I was the Health Care Proxy! I received a very vague letter in response from the Department of Public Health saying that no deficiencies were cited and the case is closed. What???? No further explanation given. Are they serious??? Something is very wrong with this picture! FOLLOW UP TO MY REVIEW: I called the DPH several (actually many) times to ask about an appeal to my original response regarding care at the Bear Hill Rehab in Stoneham. No one ever called me back or ever answered the phones. I was also transferred to a voicemail that said "sorry the voicemail is full, try again later" and many times I tried again later. SO, I called the governor's constituency office as recommended by a friend. The person I spoke to at that office said she would contact them and have them send out the forms for an appeal and ask them to call me. She said give them one week and call me back if I do not hear. Well guess what? I never heard and then I called the governor's office back several times and left a message and no one even called me back, including Jessie who originally took the call. DOES ANYONE EVEN CARE? They were very responsive when Governor Healy was running for office, I heard all the time. My issue was so very important to me. I know people are busy but it concerned my husband who passed away and went into the rehab perfectly fine and to help me with my grief I need some answers as anyone would. Does anyone even understand that? Even the rehab would not release one of his injury reports until just this week, 6 months later! And I am still waiting for someone, anyone, DPH or the governor's office, to return my calls and voicemails. I feel like everything has shut down and my issue isn't even important. I really feel like they are deliberately delaying a response so that I cannot appeal. I don't know what else to think. Maybe I should contact one of the TV news stations.

I microwave my eggs all the time and have never gotten sick.. the majority don't .. and real fresh eggs over an egg patty! Sad you are taking away a livelihood without much thought and taking away good food and coffee from your community.

System needs alot of improvements and is outdated. Still remember how Massachusetts was so unprepared for this health crisis. Staff is not aware of health care crisis in Massachusetts because they don't understand it. Last, nurses understaff all departments. Need to increase fines to hold investors and large salaries of executives accountable for not planning properly. Still does not answer questions.

Absolutely useless. What are our tax payer dollars going to? You can report misconduct from the professionals they are supposed to oversee, and those people breaking the laws, but these boards turn the other way.
