This morning I was summoned for jury duty Aug 5th, I called the day before after 5pm like the paper informs to do. No one answered and there was no information about the jury duty the next day. I made sure and called the morning of as well to make sure it wasn’t canceled. Nothing came up so I went, like intended too. When I got there after my 45 minute drive three people came out saying it was canceled and there was no one there except a security guard to let us know but a small piece of paper letting us know it was canceled. This is ridiculous that y’all couldn’t even put a recording saying it was canceled and so people had to take off work, school, etc. to be there for nothing. This kind of thing should be taken seriously especially when people have to take off school and work to be here and then miss a whole day of pay because no one informed the jury. This is not the only problem I have had with the county clerks office, the employees are rude and very unprofessional especially when calling or trying to walk in. They’re either closed an hour before lunch even starts or seem like they just take the day off and if you do happen to catch them they make you seem like a nuisance and a waste of their time.
