Yall need to strive to be like Allen and Marion Counties...they are great with people, and can always get your answers in a very timely manner. Miami County Courthouse gets a 0 out of 5 from me. I always walk in with a smile on my face and have a very kind attitude. Every single woman I have ever encountered at the courthouse has been extremely miserable and rude. They hate people and hate helping people. They can’t wait to tell you you failed to provide something and can’t get your issue handled. Went up there to vote and ANOTHER rude woman couldn’t wait to tell me I missed the early voting time at 12. Hire some people who actually enjoy human interaction

If I could rate no stars I would everything about this place is trash don't recommend ever coming to Peru in the first place. This whole town is Corrupt and it all starts here. They can build big million dollar courthouses but cant fix the millions of pot holes on the roads or offer any kind of support for our citizens even though they are making more money than anyone in this town.... TRULY SAD to see what this world has came to and it's all because of poorly ran places like this..

We have an amazing staff at the Miami county court house, amazing judges and prosecutors and all the departments have always been very helpful! Throughout my life, getting a passport, doing paperwork for deeds of properties, voting they make everything so easy and very helpful and friendly!

I will only give this traffic court 1 star because everyone was easy to work with and polite except the prosecutor who basically admitted that she does not offer the deferred disposition/deferral program unless you specifically ask. Because of this practice, not only did my 22 year old son, who has never had any previous moving violations, but also another woman, did not have the choice to choose this program. Instead of pleading guilty, they were forced to chose to go to court where they both lost their cases against the state as you must prove it is more likely than not (over 50%) that you did not commit the violation. Even the lawyer representing the first client did not win and he had some very good arguments. So, make sure that if you get a ticket in Miami County and decide to go to court in Peru, Indiana, that you specifically ask for the deferral program especially if you have a clean driving record. It will save you from going through what my son and I went through today. The saddest thing was that my son said to me as we walked out of the court, "I have no faith in the courts" and that was his first experience ever.
