Been in the food truck business for over five years and I can say that this health department is the most difficult most rude most complicated health department to work with so sad that this is the way they are in Milford is such a beautiful town with so much opportunity

We are living in a very old house for over 10 years. It is literally falling apart but due to our finances we are not ready to buy so we are here. We pay $3000 rent monthly. I have called the health department two times in past they came, they told me that they will enforce the repairs ( we had holes , large ones on the siding, no kitchen and a very bad bathroom. Although they acknowledged the safety issues, black mold and many more in the house nothing was done. The last and 3rd time I called them last fall. They came and they said the house does not meet with the building code and has to be fixed. I had couple plastic toys for my god kids to play and pollinating bushes for bees. They gave me two weeks to get rid of the toys and bushes. I did the same day. Intense repairs are still waiting while we are exposed to black mold with a minor in he house. Last week our landlord came on Friday and Saturday doing nothing and finally they pulled down the bathroom on Sunday without any care for mold spreading into the house while we were in it. They said they will come and finish on Monday. No one showed up until late Saturday and they said they will come for Sunday. I said no because I work weekends and taking another day would make me loose my job. Then my son didn’t want to another week having no bathroom so we called him to come. No answer. I let the health department know on Monday that they didn’t come. The whole week health department could not do anything. Out taxes pay for them while they can’t help us when needed.
