All of the staff I’ve encountered at the County Clerk have been fabulous! When you walk in the doors the reception area is always clean and decorated seasonally, there are signs directing you where you need to go, the police men at the metal detector give out little stickers to kids even! I love the little ticket system to keep wait time low (that used to be the worst). Each experience here has been great and it seems like that is because Mr. Steinmann is in office!

These people are so kind and helpful. They dealt with my meltdowns and forgetting things. (Bless you, all!). The paper work I needed was all there easy to access with proper ID. A friend and neighbor of my sibling actually told me how to easily and less expensively verify I am a sibling so that I can get my sibling's estate handled to pay off outstanding debts. They also told me the general timing of the death certificate and how it will be generated so it could go faster. Time is important. You do NOT have to get a lawyer in some instances. Try to handle it yourself and you will not have to indebt yourself so deeply to lawyers.

How do you close a clerk’s office hours early and have people with warrants trying to pay and you prevent them from paying?!? Some of us called 2 hours before arrival and nobody warned us. This is egregious!! Atleast have a grace form for when they get pulled over since they were prevented from paying the fine. It feels like a set-up! They told us to hold on and just turned the lights off! This is a disgrace!
