The city court clerk is an elected position. He said the last race was a close one, you know he was unopposed and had to get the minimum votes. Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court David Stamey has a personality disorder. One of the many symptoms is forgetting who he works for. During March 2022 he displayed his bitterness and indignation toward a citizen to the point of harassment onto the street outside. David Stamey told the citizen not to come back. OK no more Records of Deeds or Mortgages, no Jury information, no Election or Voting Machines information.

Setting up a radar trap over the Interstate, they park their unmarked pickup on the overpass facing the wrong way and parked so they are actuallyon the line so a foot of there truck is actually in the lane of oncoming traffic. Props to the super awesome officers who, instead of ensuring my husband wasn't hit by a car on the interstate while trying to figure out what was wrong with his truck, decided that checking licenses, running names and requiring him to call for a tow truck was a great idea. 3 police cars showed up to do this. Then they didn't even wait for the tow truck to get there before speeding off to do something obviously much more important than ensuring public safety. They're a little less protect and serve, a lot more harass.
