I can say One of the worst building departmen secratary jersey, made a schedule for inspection said 9:00 to 3:30 ( 6.5 hours time freme) and scratery told me call at 8 30 to talk to inspector and find out "what time he will be there " I call at 8 :20 she was very rudely said he is left already and answer was between now and 11 or 9:00 to 3:30, (and now 7.5 hous time frame, I wish I didn't called her could save 1 hour) you figure... and this is not the first time

I had to go to the building dept for permits. I've been to dozens of building depts all over northern nj. Usually its a tedious time with people who work there that aren't anxious to help. Paramus is different! I've been to this department on two occasions and helped by different people each time. Both times, the people were very helpful, in a timely manner. They were very professional with their jobs and it was a pleasure to visit here. When I first arrived, I thought that with all the retail space & office building construction that Paramus has, this department would be bogged down. Instead, the permit return time was relatively quick. Because of the way they do their thankless job, the permit process goes faster & smoother. This encourages contractors to file all permits, rather than let a few jobs slide by without filing. There were five or six people in that office and all were working deligently. No standing by the coffee machine here!

Building Department: one of the clerks , heavy set and dark hair is just so rude. I dont know if she just has bad days but if you say something wrong or make a mistake she just focuses in on it as has the nerve to speak about it in front of you. She has an attitude and honesty does not need to work there. She tried to say I didnt know what I was saying when in fact I did. Not looking forward to coming back here again
