I was told I could not get my birth certificate in Port Arthur I had to go to BMT. I was born in El Paso TX. A week later I was told I could get it in Port Arthur.

Didn’t answer the phone for two days straight. Called the third day close to closing time and a lady answered then transferred me. No answer after she transferred me. Poor customer service....

Nurses do not maintain professionalism. I also witnessed many HIPPA violations. Patient’s were asked their report questions in the lobby around other staff and patients.

Went to vital statistics in port arthur to add my recently deceased husband's name to a birth certificate. The lady there told me "ma'am, we don't add dead people to documents! They're already dead" and rolled her eyes. She told me I needed a court order to do that and when I told her I had the court order signed by a judge with me, she wouldn't even look at it and told me I needed to hire an attorney. When I looked online, i found out what i needed to do and i DID NOT need to hire an attorney like she told me. That lady wouldn't even ATTEMPT to help me figure anything out. She is rude, lazy and useless! For the record, the other people that work in the health department building were very nice. I wish I would have gotten her name so I could file a formal complaint against her. Not that it would solve anything because they probably wouldn't do anything anyway but at least it would be a documented complaint. Get enough of them, they might do something about it. I know I'm not the only person that woman has treated like this based on her attitude.
