If I was able to give no stars that would more fittingly describe my experience today. After driving nearly an hour to file a mental hygiene warrant ....ready to fall apart myself the entire way.....I walked to the window and stood there with no one waiting in front of me. I'm sure I was visibly distraught and no one even acknowledged my presence or asked what needed help with. It was only when I asked if I was in the correct place. While hearing how the mental hygiene warrant works and that basically if they went to serve and the person was not there....I would have to refile. I have never felt more discouraged when I have already also been waiting on a return call from child protective services. I cannot beleive this is the only way to go about getting someone in desperate need psychiatric care. What a shame.

Went to fight a ticket. Plead not guilty. Letter to appear was sent in the mail. Showed up at the date requested to go in front of the judge and police officer. I was then asked if I had a lawyer. Neither showed and still was told I had to pay the fine or come back at another date. They claimed that I had to take their “offer” or have the date changed. Seems to me that this was nothing but a major scam. If I had a lawyer, I’m sure the ticket would have been dismissed because the judge on the appear paper nor police officer showed. Can’t wait to speak to the governor about this.
