The health department is a very underrated resource in our community. Staff is very friendly and the walk-in system is great if you have anxiety about health stuff and find it easier to just show up on impulse to get things taken care of. If you’re uninsured their prices are very reasonable and transparent.

40 minutes, and we’re still waiting to be seen... I’ve had to take my little one here for vaccinations since our doctor no longer does them in office. The front desk staff is less than friendly, ever. They barely acknowledge anyone who walks in. But today, there is no one else here in the waiting room; and we’re still waiting to be seen. On the flip side, the 2 nurses we have had here have before th been great.

I go to the health department for immunizations for both traveling and just to keep up-to-date on recommended vaccines. While the front desk person sometimes seems a bit frustrated or impatient, the nurses are always warm, friendly, and knowledgeable! It is fairly easy to schedule appointments within the week and my appointments are timely and quick.

Edited to 5 stars. Since my last experience I have had a way better time with this health department. I was able to get a biopsy done for free in my cervix because I had an irregular pap and I was really scared about cancer. They were very nice. And the doctor was the same doctor who delivered my youngest child from womens health group. So you get the same doctors even if you're down on your luck financially. So greatful for this place!

Went to drop off our sharps container and I was under the assumption it was free (that's according to the website). I was fully aware that they were going to ask for a donation but the lady said "We REQUIRE a $10 donation". That's a very specific price. So, basically, it wasn't free then. What a scam.
