This office is the worst! My benefits have been messed up for months and they don’t even care. If your a single mom with a job, there’s no way to get help with everything going on. I was just told it doesn’t matter if you have an appointment at 8am, they call you when it’s convenient for them. Which is never before 5pm. :(

We just got our second Covid Vaccine and it was the Pfizer shot (no side effects yet after about 12 hrs) They were set up at the Wichita Library. Each time we went there were hundreds of people there getting their shots. The Sedgwick County Health Department was extremely organized! They had at least 75+ people giving the vaccine so we were finished with our shots within minutes! I thought it was great that they also had military’s medics giving shots too! You do have to wait after your shots for 20 min and 30 if you have allergies. The waiting room is huge and socially distanced areas were even more than 6ft. They had people walking around the waiting area to make sure everyone was ok. Great Experience and Excellent Job Sedgwick! Get vaccinated Kansas let’s race to beat the other states!! #getvaccinated #sedgwickco #kansas #ICT #Wichita #Covid19

My appointment for the drive up vaccine was for Monday at 1:00. I drove in and the people working were great. Because of it being inside I turned my motor off because of fumes. After the shot my car would not start for me to exit. I was so frustrated because I had just had the battery check last week. The workers kept very calm and kept reassuring me not to worry when I knew I was holding up the people behind me. They managed to get my car started and I was able to exit. I drove straight to the dealership and got a new battery. Again, I was already impressed with the workers . They went above and beyond the call of duty to get my car started and to reassure me and handle the situation. Everyone I know who have been able to get the vaccine have all had a positive experience and been impressed with how efficient the process has been. Thank you, Thank you Ann Brady

The wic department: Ever since they got rid of their other location, the service has sucked. Very inconvenient, I have to wait 2 months to schedule my child for benefits. What is the point of having benefits if they can't even supply it? They need to come up with a better way to provide service if they don't have enough staff.

I recently had a meeting with Denise meirowsky a breastfeeding peer counselor. She did an amazing job helping me with breastfeeding issues I was having with my first two baby boys. She even got me a free hands-free breast pump as I am a full time working mother of now almost 3 kids. It was even covered through my insurance. I would 100% recommend her for any breastfeeding needs. She also said she is on-call 24-7 if I need assistance and even gave me her cell. If your having trouble like me or you have issues with milk supply or PCOS. I definitely recommend her for support! 5 stars to that lady!!! She was the best and actually listened to my concerns. Not a lot are like that!
