Ineffective, no one answers, but not knowledgeable about the adverse reactions to the Covid vaccine. But the entire staff does make for good Stalinists. They know to whom to kiss up to. Its not county residents demanding clear and honest answers.

I took a water sample to be tested on 11/02/2020 and paid cash. I am a renter and had brought them the sample from McArthur, California which is seventy plus miles one way. For whatever reason Pepper chose not to do the test and then wanted me to bring another sample to them. Personally I think the test was sidelined because someone who works at the health department knows my property owner!!! When I asked for a cash refund so that I could go to Basic lab to get the test done, I was refused and met with a long list of why I would have to wait for a check. As of 11/16/2020 , I have no test results and no cash refund. I even contacted the Board of Supervisors to investigate and instead I get a phone call today from Charlene telling me how they are going to have to process a check.... This is a testament to how crooked government agencies are failing the common people!!!! Honestly the service that I did not get and was charged for is ludicrous!!! Amazing how Pepper and Charlene did not forget to process my cash payment, But somehow misplaced the water sample that I delivered personally to the health department.... In case you all forgot, YOU ARE PUBLIC SERVANTS, and your wages are paid by the taxpayers!!! THANKS for not doing your JOB!!!! Update/ 07- 22-2022! Still have not received any refund for the water test that was not done by Shasta County public health after I drove it down from McArthur, California. I have to question if you are public servants or just common thieves??? But we all know the answer to that, don’t we??? You are so bold that you don’t think that the law even applies to you. You all need ski masks to go with your N-95 masks. I have zero respect for any of your staff and will continue to update this review…

I went for a simple Hep B vaccine for work. They did not once ask to verify my identification at any point while I was there. The nurse administering my vaccine was immediately very unprofessional in her conversation and demeanor towards me. Unrelated to why I was there, she looked through and showed me my personal digital vaccine record on file with the county and discussed it with me (again, without identification... what about HIPAA!?), questioned my honesty about my TDAP status, and then asked me if I chose to get the COVID vaccine. When I said "no," her response was "why am I not surprised." She then proceeded to ask if I even vaccinate my children. I don't know where she got the impression that I was a complete anti-vaxer or that my kids may not be vaccinated but I did respond that my children were completely up to date on everything necessary. Regardless of that, a public health employee should be there to educate and recommend, not make assumptions, judge and shame people. When I left the facility, I glanced at my printed vaccine record that the nurse gave me and found they didn't even spell my name correctly.
