Nice looking building. Glad I wasn’t here because of trouble with the law or neighbors.

The oldest continually used courthouse in Mississippi. Built in 1874 just after Tate county was formed. The bricks were made locally to save the expense of delivering them. At one time in the 1930s there were more women in top jobs, including Sheriffs than any other place in Mississippi. There is a small history museum inside the courthouse.
