Thank you CINDY for hanging up on me today when I tried to pay my citation and then not answering the phone from that point forward for the rest of the day. You're a tiny (clearly I'm speaking of the example being tiny, not you sorry), anyway, a tiny example of what people get to deal with they're forced to encounter anyone from building or associated with your building CINDY. For the purpose of being able to form a real opinion of my story I want to start this by saying that I am a white female, mid 40's, single mother of a 5 year old, recently separated and going through a rough divorce BUT has a crystal clear/clean driving record. Not even a stop sign or speeding or a headlight. But when I called TODAY and spoke to CINDY to get details on how to pay my fine asap, I was again spoken down to like a child, told I had a warrant for my arrest, was told the Sheriff was coming to my house to get me and that I couldn't legally drive BUT I needed to pay the fine ASAP. I didn't understand the purpose of the warrant or what CINDY was even talking about so I asked a few more questions and she SNAPPED at me, yelled at me and THEN hung up on me which was followed my several calls from me the rest of the day all of which were sent to there answering machine. Not voicemail but answering machine. She refused to help me, hung up on me and then didn't answer the phone, return my call or even answer my question RE paying the citation. She is horrible and extremely unprofessional just like all the Sheriff's that are on duty. She better not run into me anywhere or it will not turn out very well. Now see below for more stories.... It is close to misery dealing with the Sheriff Dept or the court system in Terrell county. They arrest and citate people for the most miniscule things then turn around and fine you $1000's dollars AFTER they have already punished you. I was waiting in the lobby to speak to the DA and heard 2 stories of people that were arrested, spent over 4 nights in jail, had to pay over $1000 bond and STILL had to go to court ONLY because they didn't have their VALID drivers license on them when they were approached by a Sheriff. I mean I know it's the law to carry your license when you drive, but seriously... to ARREST someone because they accidentally left it at home when they were running to the store? COME ON!!!! They weren't even commiting a traffic "crime" when they were approached. One of the guys that was jailed for not having his VALID DL on his person had JUST run out of gas on the side of the road and was waiting for his girlfriend to bring him some gas. The Sheriff was not called for help but CHOSE to stop and snoop around. Possibly wirhout probable cause, which lead to the discussion about the DL. And the other poor guy was at a fast food restaurant. Both of which were not committing non operative (or non moving) citations since they weren't technically driving when approached but instead of a citation or a warning for Christ sake, they were HANDCUFFED and taken to JAIL. Slightly extreme and clearly the punishment DOES NOT match the crime. My story (con't from first paragraph) First let me say that my driving record is CLEAR and has been for over 10 years. I am a former wife of a Marine and have traveled ALL OVER this country and have never encountered such a political group of closed minded, disrespectful, self centered, law breaking individuals as I did while dealing with TERRELL county Sheriff's and court system. Especially since the Sheriff's are ELECTED. I was driving my Tahoe, doing well below the speed limit because I'm afraid of the deer on that highway at night, with my FIVE YEAR OLD returning home from a lake trip and was pulled over for a suspened tag right past the restaurant with the huge fake pig out front. He followed me in a super creepy way for about 20 min then pulled me iver. This was close to 1:30 am. I am currently going through a divorce and most of my personal items and/or accounts are still in both of our names which explains why my ex cancelled my insurance without telling me, and lead

Rude, hateful, and unprofessional. Whoever answers the phone needs to find a more fitting line of work. Disgusting behavior for a grown woman.

The height of pure "Southern - Bless your heart- Hospitality. Sigh, Left me on hold for over half an hour to come back on the line and give me misinformation stating that my elderly parents with health issues would need to travel to the magistrate court to file signed affidavits for a "stay away" order against a person who showed up at their house with alcoholism, ptsd, severe depression, and anxiety and made them feel uncomfortable pushing his way into the house uninvited. When I finally called the magistrate Court, the lady there was more polite and explained that my parents would need to call the police for a police report and then physically take that to the DA's office. She said the info that the probate Court told me was wrong. And the lady at the probate court also accused me of having an attitude and hung up on me because I called worried about my parents and looking for information for them. She obviously cannot tell the difference in a concerned person trying to get assistance and information and someone with an attitude and regardless, she was not able to properly handle the situation. All she could say was that it was not her problem. She seemed to know so much about him though, telling me where he lives and how he is not a homeless vet with serious issues because "his camper is connected to electricity and she physically drives by his camper every day" but she cannot help get him help until he hurts himself or someone else. I thought these people were supposed to help the community they serve..... Hm... that's not the case in Terrell County. So rude and typical of the area. To the lady who left me on hold for over half an hour to come back with misinformation and rudeness: Bless your heart. Hanging up on people is lame, unprofessional, and a sign of cowardice and inability to address a caller's concerns and request for accurate information or refer them to someone who can help. All I had to go on from my conversation with you is to look up the magistrate court and the number for that office on your website is out of service. Typical.
