the warren county health department has been there for me since my very first 'female' checkup. from the nutritionist and receptionist to every cna, rn, cnp, dr, and specialist, the entire staff at the warren county health department has helped me, my 3 children, and 1 of my grandchildren for over 30 years now. gynecological checkups as well as educational information about: sexually transmitted (or otherwise) diseases, breast examination instructions and breast cancer awareness, birth control options with statistics of risks, pregnancy tests with thoroughly explained options by an informed medical professional in a non judgmental fashion, blood tests for marriage license, prenatal vitamins and prenatal care, WIC certification, growth charts, my nutritional needs, breastfeeding, infants and toddlers nutritional needs, risks and benefits of vaccinations and immunizations and booster shots, infant and toddler growth charts and expectancies, they have been there. these people have watched me grow up. through tears and laughter and every emotion imaginable-they've been there. they've held my hand when i needed it and taught me a few lessons about myself, too. The Warren County Health Department has been VITAL in my community, as far as me and mine are concerned. I would like to commend the employees-past, present, and hopefully future-THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YALL DO FOR YOUR COMMUNITY!!!- from just 1 of the many women, infants, children, AND men to whom yall have provided wonderful sevice! there are some who would complain about their shortcomings: how long you have to wait in the lobby to see whomever, no nutritionist readily available, or the staff isnt informative, etc. to that i say, have patience when you are asked to wait for free services, im sure alot of the time spent working there, is difficult. i believe there have been cuts to funding recently and a full time nutritionist is probably not cheap so there woldnt be one available all day every day if that's where a cut has been made. its not personal against you, it just is. as for the staff, they have always been friendly, helpful, and informative, in my experience. i did ask questions, i was friendly first, and i was forthcoming in all my answers to their questions.

Never have a doctor there. My appointments been rescheduled 6 times. No one will even give you advice. WIC is the only thing keeping this place a float. This is a waste of public space. Can anyone advise me who to speak with? If I had power, I'll close it down without a thought!!!

I’ll fix my review since they called and explained everything to me. They are understaffed from my understanding and have a lot of workload. I’ve had a job in customer service and there’s just different ways I would’ve handled the situations. Nonetheless, I have had everything taken care of.

I worked there and the water fountains is out of order. So is the telephones throughout the building. The front desk workers are very rude to clients. Especially, Mexicans (they tell them come back when they can speak english). Also, their very angry and jealous hearted ladies. Very sad place to work. And y'all already know I was straight before I started working there.

This place is such a joke. My daughter is a month old and I’ve been trying to get her on wic since then basically. They don’t ever tell you what you need so you waste time going up there unprepared. Not only that, you have to come in at 8 AM to even be seen for wic. Im a new mother. I stay up at night caring for my child and barely get any sleep. A place like this should NOT be first come first serve. This health department literally has done me wrong so many times. I’d rather move out of Vicksburg then go here ever again. I brought my baby out in the cold for no reason because they couldn’t get their stuff together and actually tend to the needs of people. I need help with getting formula and they’re not making it any easier on me. Why do I need her crib card and her verification sheet when I HAVE HER SOCIAL SECURITY CARD! That’s how long it’s been! I don’t understand! This is the worst place ever. Don’t ever even try to come here if you need anything for your baby cuz you’ll waste your time every single time.
