Records are obstructed and sometimes corrupted. Depending on what officer takes reports, the reports may never make it to the DA's office. Definitely things done under the table here at times.

Wonderful old courthouse built in 1952 at a cost of $876,000. Built in the Modern style it is something to look at. Really like the mural on the inside.

My friend received a ticket in this parish and I feel so bad because he was taking me to my home time. We called the clerk of court to request if he could take a drivers defensive class and to our surprise, we were told the court does not accept drivers defensive classes. I pray one day the law changes for Lousiana that all towns accept drivers defensive courses. The ticket is $250 which is above average compared to other Louisiana towns. Some courts are compassionate while others or not. I believe this is probably one of the many reasons people move away from rural areas.
