My son had an appointment today for his WIC and had to get his weight, height and iron checked. The woman who worked with my son had absolutely NO business working with toddlers. My son just turned two last week and the woman kept giving instructions to my son as if he was a teenager. Telling him to stand with his arms to his sides and stand still while she was trying to check his weight and height. There was a puzzle in the room and my son wanted to start playing and she was so impatient with him and told him it wasn’t time to play with the puzzle. (Then DONT have a puzzle in the room) she had my son so upset he was crying and kept yelling DONE….DONE. After taking his blood she was then frustrated he wouldn’t put a bandage on his finger because he was bleeding and she didn’t want blood on anything. I talked to someone today who told me that this isn’t the woman’s actual role and she was covering for someone while they were on vacation. I have never seen my son so scared and upset before and as a mother, this really broke my heart. I will never go back to this location and have my son treated the way he was!!!! How dare this place have someone so incredibly rude to children work as such a place. As soon as I got to my vehicle I had a breakdown because I didn’t say anything as she was trying to hold my son to the wall and making me pin his little knees to the wall while trying to get his height while he was crying scared 💔 never again!
