Wretched soft on crime county. If you are considering making Anoka county your home, think again. Not only are they brutally soft on crime, they can donate in many cases through their in action and refusal to prosecute felony level crimes. Property values are going to plummet while taxes increase to support ongoing litigation and lawsuits related to soft on crime policies.

Mostly friendly staff. We did have a less than polite attendant at the records window but the lady who helped us get our marriage certificate/license was awesome.

Went in for our marriage license and certificate process. First lady helped us out well but did not let us know we had to return the paperwork within 5 days of the ceremony. She told us whenever but just within 6 months and that it didn’t have to be the officiant to turn it in. We also didn’t read the blue pamphlet reiterating that so that’s on us. The second lady didn’t have a bad attitude but was so short with us. I turned the paper in and she quickly took it said she’ll have to connect with the officiant and that was that. We had to keep on asking her questions to get why she had to contact our officiant- and it’s all through written letter only?!? The website sucks on being thorough for this process and the people here aren’t on the same page either. Very frustrating when we’re trying to get everything all together.
