Really not impressed with the clerks knowledge base. Ask anythingnl and they always have to ask someone else and usually the answer is completely wrong. For example, when I moved from TN to KY, you have to "surrender" your title to them to get a KY registration and the state mails you a new KY title. Well, the new title to my vehicle never came. So I went to the Barren County clerks office to see who I needed to contact. They said "Call Frankfort." So I did. Frankfort said I had to go through my clerk's office. So I made a second trip. They gave me the same answer. Even the Kentucky.Gov website states you need to contact your clerks office for titles that haven't been received.

Thank you for the very professional and thorough assistance with my passport. It arrived in plenty of time for my trip due 100% to the efforts of the clerk.

I’ll be so happy to leave the state there was too many in here in business to take advantage so they try to charge me 135 just for school alone on my tag renewal and included in. that was the tag and registration so I called on the phone and they reduced it to 291 and she had to add another $11 tax on it or charge me double for the registration. I reported this excessive charge to the government and hopefully somebody will take care of it, but this is ridiculous. The staff is OK but it’s all about money.
