I have had to sign up for WIC for me and my children due to inflation and just needing a little help. And when I went to pick up my card, the lady assisting would not even look at me while talking to me, was very judgmental and just looked down on me. Also while on the phone, it was the same way. I finally said there was no need to be rude due to me not being rude to you, she just said have a nice day. So I’m sorry but someone that takes pride in making sure their kids are cared for and I do not ask for help at all, and the time that I finally let my pride down to ask… it was very disheartening to see that there are people there that will be rude and judgmental due to you asking for help. BUT the nurse that called for my appointment on the phone was AMAZING and so sweet and when I told her my experience from the office she immediately let someone know and I am so thankful for her!!! I really hope the woman / women in the main office can learn to not be that way so that more people do not shy away when they truly need the help.

Sat on hold over 35 minutes and had to hang up and call back. The lady was rude and short with me. I asked her why the attitude, something about her system being down. I called a different health department and made an appointment and they were nice and respectful!
