So, they say they are open at 8 am, but the door is currently locked and I have been calling for a week for the county clerks office and there is nobody there to answer the phone. Plus the website says the same thing. Worst county I have ever lived in. This is the worst experience I have ever had!

Another amazing county courthouse in Southwest Michigan! This red brick Queen Anne style courthouse was built in 1892 by Detroit architect Albert French, who used the same plans for this courthouse as his previous work - the Livingston County Courthouse in Howell, MI. Definitely worth the stop for historical architecture tours in Michigan. I am in awe of the grandeur of this building!
