Went to both the circuit court clerks office to renew concealed permit and went to pay personal property taxes and both offices are full of women who hate their job. Whoever runs these places needs to call in or sit there and listen to how these women talk to the citizens of this county.

A clerk called me back today and went out of her way to help me set up an online account. She went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything and actually waited on the phone while I accessed the site on my computer. Excellent customer service!

With the Corna the court was supposed to have let me know about the new court date but they didn't. I went to court on the orginal date and gave them my address and I was assured that I would receive a notice for the new date but of course they did not.. I guess the tax dollars are more important

I called to ask a question. I was not rude or disrespectful. The female clerk was extremely rude and spoke to me in a condescending manner. It is a shame we have people with such pretentious attitudes serving our communities in 2024. I was taught as a child to be polite to everyone as we never know what someone else may be going through. Someone obviously failed this lady. How incredibly sad. I posted this because a formal complaint will more than likely yield no corrective action as there have been continuous complaints regarding the rude behavior of the female clerks going back several years in the reviews.

I cannot attest to the level of justice given or the fairness of the court, since I only just passed by, but it is a cool courthouse. It is not, however, historic, as it burned in the 1970s and was rebuilt soon after. It led to the passage of the Virginia Records act, which required certain records to be kept in tandem in Richmond. It has war memorials and cannons, which are very cool as well. Worth a stop if in Fincastle. Cheers.
