Today I want to give a heartfelt shout-out to Athena and Dashan at the Salem Health Department. After my uncle passed away, I was trying to help my aunt obtain her marriage certificate and birth certificate so we could take care of some very important affairs. I was on a very tight timetable because I’m only in town every two weeks, and I needed to get everything completed before I had to leave. Athena and Dashan understood the urgency of my situation and, incredibly, they had everything I needed taken care of within one hour. In today’s world, it’s rare to find people who genuinely care about helping others, but these two amazing ladies did exactly that. They were patient, compassionate, professional, and determined to make sure everything was handled correctly. They didn’t just do their jobs—they went above and beyond to help my family during a very difficult time. Exceptional employees deserve to be recognized, and Athena and Dashan are a true credit to the Salem Health Department. Thank you both for your kindness, your dedication, and your outstanding customer service. Because of your compassion and willingness to go the extra mile, you helped lift a tremendous burden off my shoulders. May God richly bless you both for the difference you make in people’s lives. Our family will never forget your kindness, and we are deeply grateful for everything you did
