I needed help with a property owners info, went to Development Services and I didn't get the young ladies name but she was very helpful, no rushing great attitude, amazing smile, super friendly and beautiful. All traits that you never see in a city hall. Idk if her upper management reads this or not but do what ever you can to keep her..overall good experience.

Calling their phone number for my new car title that haven't received for months...the agent gives me other number to call then I call the other number telling me that i need to call the other number, 4 numbers they told me to call and nobody helps with my car title, apparently these people who gives me all these phone number just want to get paid without helping at all!! Wasting gas money to go down there for the car title they should have mailed it long time ago. Thanks a lots for proving this system is broken.

ETJ petition. Calling to find out where to turn it in (which building). Asked why it had to be done in person and can't be mailed. It's bc it has to be stamped received. Asked then what CCN discountenance meant since there was no explanation on the form. City rep Emilio says it's too long of an explanation to be included. But, it basically meant Burleson wasn't responsible for providing utilities, services. He then proceeded to explain that the petition will be accepted but when it goes before the city council it will be denied. City can deny bc the deadline has passed; deadline was 12-31-2023. Funny, we just recently found out about the petition form. Seems City attorneys found a loophole that it has to be a "municipality" that requests being released and not an individual which state constitution states. The rewritten law passed can't override state constitution. Essentially, what it boils down to is that City probably has so many properties (landowners) opting out that it would effect their future taxes. Emilio definitely did not like that I stated this, that I questioned why we were not notified when City decided to expand their ETJ (2 miles from city limits based on city population which I'm pretty sure I'm not in the 2 miles), and why we were not notified of the petition and the deadline. Just another way those of us NOT WANTING to be part of Burleson are being hijacked. Comes down to $ and politics. I'm definitely not impressed with Burleson or the city ethics.

Literally the worst “city” I’ve dealt with! Had a check mailed in to pay my water bill (because their website says checks are accepted) I called up there to see if they have received it and she tells me they don’t accept checks so they won’t turn my water back on…! She said checks are not accepted after my water has already been turned off… like how does that work?? Extremely greedy company. If you need to extend your water bill payment out, remember they make you go to the location to sign a paper in hopes that you have a busy day like anyone with a job and that you’ll forget, and they can still turn off your water for extra fees. If I could leave a -5 star a would. City of Burleson is the worst. Literally….
