I had to get a hard copy or my birth certificate because I couldn't find my original. The young lady helping was super nice, but for some reason, she couldn't find my information on the computer. Luckily, Brandy knows my life history and was able to find it in a different section on the computer. Brandy not only found it but was able to train the new girl at the counter. Brandy was so good with the young lady while she showed her where to find my information. Thank you, Brandy! ** I was adopted by my 'step-dad' when I was young, so my information isn't in the main part where most everyone's information is at. Add the fact that I was accidentally born at home & not in a hospital to make it even more confusing. ;-)

They are so nice on the phone. But if you get the brunette, Jessica, you might want to wait for the nice blonde lady. Jessica is quite unfriendly and extremely curt.

I drove 40 minutes to arrive 5 minutes before the 12:00 to 1: lunch break. Nothing said about this on the internet! Only on the building, as you enter.

Got a marriage license there and I was in and out both times.

My wife and I went to the Butte County Hall of Records to record our house deed and two Power of Attorney documents. When we entered the building we received a friendly greeting and the added invitation, "I can help you here!" This was not the typical response that we've encountered in other government agencies over the years. Our experience was made even better, when Wendy, who was helping us with our paperwork, guided us through the process in the proper way, which also saved us money! She was friendly, helpful, understanding, and a bright spot in what otherwise would normally be dry legal business!
