The people they hire to help do not like their jobs. I was helped by a worker by the name of Jasmin. She was rude and unprofessional. After telling me it’s nothing she can do or that she does not know any number for me to call she proceeded to laugh in my face while closing her window on me. If this is how chesterfield represents itself I’m scared for our future.

I have been trying to recover 10,000 dollars for 4 years now, the Chesterfield County Circuit Court held that amount of money for my dad's Estate, but why, I can only speculate, because my father only owed 1 bill, that's the honest to God truth! They were supposed to return it to my sister and me within two years. They said they couldn't find us to return the 10 grand. So they said they sent it to Treasurer of Virginia. THEY DONT HAVE IT, CHESTERFIELD DOESNT HAVE IT??? WHERE IS MY FATHERS ESTATE MONEY!!! NO ONE WILL HELP ME. IT HAS BEEN ONE NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH THIS. SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHO TO CALL!!!!

Chesterfield is not the place you want to go to court for. Terrible service and completely unfair court fees including all types of extra charges for ridiculous things. A 250 dollar fine turns into $500 in any case and the clerks are rude, and slow to get anything you need from them

I have paid online access to the land records and my subscription had expired, I mailed in a new check and it either hadn't been processed or maybe not received so I went to the courthouse 12/15/25 around noon to print my copies and gladly paid for them. As I was leaving the clerk ran me down upstairs and handed me back my check stating the copies were free since I had paid access. I explained we were expired and had mailed in a new check and it may not have been processed or received. She said, "keep the check, I will find it and process it quickly" It is rare and hard to find great employees like this. Thanks for caring about our needs. Tony Brown, Carteret Title.
