Horrible service. I was asked to sign on the pad without explaining what I signing. When I asked what I was signing the lady responded “Your name.” I had to clarify and asked twice that I meant is, what document was I signing. She sighed and gave me an attitude. Another lady explained to me in a condescending manner. I asked how much the services were going to cost. They couldn’t tell me and just said I was going to get a bill. You don’t have the opportunity to compare fees before getting the shots. The lady who administered the shot was actually very professional and helpful. The front desk people need to get training on how to provide professional patient services. People have to explain what they need multiple times to more than one person because they just don’t get it. There are so many qualified, caring and professional people who could (and should) replace them.

Took a taxi here last Friday to find that the Detroit ID lady had gotten off work by 3-4PM, much earlier than posted. It was an unfortunate loss of time and money for citizens and an unfortunate display of unreliability by the government.

Everyone was nice and very helpful. The nurse I had spoke to my daughter and made sure she understood what was happening to her. I appreciate that. Thanks do much guys!!!💯💯

Absolutely unacceptable and disgraceful experience. I walked into this office today and immediately observed four employees sitting behind the glass in a circle, engaged in what was clearly a personal conversation. The office was completely empty. I greeted them respectfully and asked a simple, reasonable question about receiving a vaccination. Instead of providing assistance, they looked at each other and one employee flatly stated they were “done for the day,” even though the official website clearly states vaccinations stop at 4 PM — and it was NOT 4 PM. When I asked when I should return, I was met with sarcasm, side glances, and giggling. One employee passed me off to a younger worker instead of answering herself. The information I received was inconsistent, contradictory, and confusing. I was told to: • Come back tomorrow • Make an appointment • Wait until March 6 for the next appointment • Then told I could actually walk in tomorrow When I clarified that I needed a TB test, I was suddenly told I would need to return two days later, directly contradicting everything I was just told. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service was shocking. The employees appeared uninterested in doing their jobs and more focused on socializing than serving the public. I was treated dismissively, spoken to indirectly, and made to feel like an inconvenience for simply asking questions. As a taxpayer and community member, this experience was embarrassing and infuriating. No one should be treated this way when seeking public health services. Management needs to address the behavior, training, and accountability of the staff at this location immediately. This office reflects poorly on the entire department.

Sadly, this department location has extremely rude employees working and I don't have faith that their superiors will strive to fix that. I had a simple phone call today that turned into a guilt-trip by a Ms. Patricia. I inquired about their services and although I was able to retrieve my information, I was met with rudeness and an eagerness to get me off the phone even though I was very respectful and cordial. I hope the health department will address that within themselves. Edit: I can also provide voice recorded proof of half of the interaction. No one should feel ostracized by the civil servants of their elected officials and state departments working for them, their neighbors, and their city.
