If I could give this 0 stars I would. Getting your marriage license should be such a happy moment and they were so rude and made it awful. Never sent me my copy of my certificate of marriage its been a month now. Then I called and their response was " there is only one of me, and we don't mail the certificate you have to come get them" When I don't believe that to be true, it was an awful experience and made it so unenjoyable. Still don't have my certificate.

We got what we needed, with lessons learned during the course of it. If you are getting a marriage license here, make sure you have all documentation (especially photo IDs). If something is missing you will have to re-schedule, and if you’re up against your wedding day, you can literally not be able to get married. Be at the courthouse early (15 mins at least) and be certain as to exactly where you need to go. They are very strict on timelines. Even a few minutes late is considered significant (understandable due to the volume of people getting married coupled with their limited resources). My main suggestion to the probate court would be to post signage as to where couples need to go so there are no questions, as there was confusion on our end. Doing so would streamline things and add efficiency which will benefit both parties. It’s a smooth process if you are well prepared.

We were in and out within 10 minutes. The clerk was so kind and she made jokes with us. It was a wonderful experience.

Came here for our marriage license. If you bring everything you need (application, photo ID, social security card, $57 CASH ONLY) you can be in and out in less than 30 minutes. You should call to make an appointment at least a month before the wedding because they can book up quickly. When I called I had to leave a voicemail but Marie called me back quickly. She is kind and made the process go smoothly.
