For the last 5 years I have had to go to the Town Clerk they have been nothing but rude to me. They talk down to you and give different information each time you ask a question. Their hours are inconvenient on top of that.

AWFUL SERVICE. the woman i spoke to was so rude to me that i left CRYING. she was entirely unhelpful, genuinely OVERJOYED that i didnt have everything i needed, and she LAUGHED AT ME when i didnt understand something. once i come back with all the right paperwork i will be refusing to work with her. she shouldnt be allowed within 100 feet of another human.

I spoke with Diane regarding a more complicated issue that needed to be resolved on a registration. Between her experience and speaking with the DMV, she was able to get it resolved for me. She even stayed past closing time to make sure I was in good shape. I felt like she went above and beyond the call of duty! Nice to see there are still people out there willing to help and it's not just about punching the time clock.

Diane does a great job at the town clerks office. I had a complicated car/ title registration question and even though the towns clerks wasn’t open that day, I was able to email them very easily and receive a response that fully answered my question. They are working a lot even when the window office isn’t open. I’ve always had a good experience there. Also I love all the great historical photos and documents on the walls.

Completely useless town clerk’s office. There is this pompous attitude of the workers there. Diane , who btw, states she is retired and gets to dictate hours that the office is open is completely rude individual. They used to have accommodating hours prior to Diane. No more convenience for those who actually have to work full time. Not only that but the way the website states to make appointments leads one to believe that there aren’t walk-ins, but that is untrue. I only found that out because a gentleman walked in and asked if he could register a new car or if he had to make an appointment and he was able to do so right then and there. .I then ask why doesn’t it state that walk-ins are welcomed on the town clerk’s website? She responded by saying she does not want to have a “line of people out the door”. What a great reason! It’s so sad to have such an awful town clerk’s office for a beautiful town. Last year , I needed a marriage license, they couldn’t help me get a license because they couldn’t fit me in 6 weeks before the wedding date. Instead I had to go to Milford , who were so friendly and helpful. One of the clerks asked why I didn’t get the license in my town and had to tell them because they couldn’t bother to fit me in. What’s even sadder is the fact that they had heard from different folks what an awful town clerk staffing Hollis has.
