My boyfriend started puking blood and I rushed him here around 11 am. I told the lady at the desk we needed to do a walk in and she said "just so you know we aren't a walk in clinic" I said "I'm aware of that, but he's puking blood" she said "The soonest we have is a 2 o'clock appointment" and I told her we'd just go the hospital instead. Sorry but I was under the impression that health care providers were supposed to actually CARE. Taking him here was a wasted trip and a huge waste of time. Livingston regional took him straight back. The health department is great if you need breast-feeding counseling or getting new born check ups and wic. But I would seek care elsewhere for literally anything else.

I never do google reviews but this one felt necessary. I would NEVER recommend the Jackson co health department. The lady that “helped” me at the desk was extremely rude. I had basic questions, I am young and do not completely understand how everything works. I had basic questions about starting birth control, getting an appointment and how much it would cost. She looked at me like I was stupid for not knowing how this works. All I wanted was some basic questions answered. Highly HIGHLY disappointed in our health department.
