What is the reason for having a phone if it is never answered? I literally listened to the line ring for 15 minutes until I finally lost my patience and hung up. Mind you, I had just walked out at 7:55 after setting up an appointment and there was only one person waiting who had already checked in. This, is what your money is paying for New Orleans, secretaries sitting on their asses ignoring the minimalist task their job requires them to do.

Been dealing with their terrible and unprofessional communication system. I’ve had enough. They never answer their phones, when they do the conversation is extremely unpleasant and make you feel as if everything is your fault. It is impossible to get through to anyone and even worse it’s harder to get prescriptions refilled. Never had to such unorganized experiences like this before until this place. I simply can not understand why it is so hard to communicate with this health center. I always feel like I am fighting tooth and nail with this place.

I can’t say enough good things about the Jefferson Parish Health Unit. Every time I visit, I’m treated with such kindness and care. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make sure you feel safe, respected, and truly cared for. Nurse Megan and Nurse Jai are absolutely amazing—so sweet, professional, and reassuring. Latrice and Daniel at the front desk are always welcoming and helpful, making the whole experience smooth from the moment you walk in. I’m genuinely grateful for everyone there. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated with compassion and professionalism, I highly recommend this location. The team here is wonderful, and I always feel like I’m in good hands.
