Don't expect any help or useful information from anyone who works here, and definitely don't expect a simple answer to a simple question. Every person will tell you something different, everyone will tell you to call someone else, and when you follow one employee's instructions, another employee will tell you you were wrong and you should have done it differently. If you have to do something that would take about an hour if the employees were competent, make sure you take the whole day off, and even then, don't expect it to get done. Get copies of everything you sign because they will lose your paperwork.

Was on a jury in January 2024, case lasted about 5 weeks, still waiting to get what little money the court pays you, it is now May. There were people on the jury who could not afford to lose 5 weeks of work and I know they could use the money but we are still waiting!! Lots of apologies from the court employees but now waiting on judges to vote to pay us, could happen in next 2 weeks. Most juries are paid at the end of trial but the State of Louisiana was involved in case and things are now different. So how much longer must we wait?? Finally got a check on June 24,2024!!

Just terrible. They kept giving court dates, only to reschedule when I showed up. I was rescheduled 7 times for all sorts of reasons they came up with when I arrived with my attorney. Allowing my opponent to stall on time, claim he wasn't served, no court recorder available on that day, and judge showed favoritism with certain attorneys because they are good friends. Almost to the point that they ignored my attorney who was not a buddy to them. Why did I expect anything good for a New Orleans justice setting? They waist your time. They don't even consider that people must pay for parking just to be there, along with making child care arrangements, only to be disappointed and rescheduled when arriving. My case extended on an entire year.

Judge Hutabarat was extremely friendly, present, and warm. Other jurors commented on it, too! It made a difference! Plus, many of the people working there were very friendly, too, in spite of the reviews below. Jury duty and service is torture for most people, so thank you all for making it bearable! Glad you'll be getting a new building, since we almost all died of cold in this one, haha. But like, really! Like, I'm serious.

It’s kinda hard to describe how wildly disorganized this place is. I was in awe.
