My sons and I have always received wonderful care from JoCo health department and JoCo mental health department!! The health department also has it's own version of an urgent care too if you don't require a Dr but a physician asst or nurse will do. It great too!!

The most helpful and nice people here argue epidemiology department. I came in a need of the same day appointment to get vaccines done, and their support was above and beyond. They did paperwork I did not have an idea about and now everything will go smoothly and easily. You are absolutely amazing. We are all so lucky to have you!

I took a family member to her first appointment there today and I was very impressed. Dr. Johnson and Michelle were thorough, kind and understanding. I feel so much more confident going forward knowing that my family is in their care. Before her appointment, she ran out of her medication and Michelle was very helpful in getting her hospital doctor to call in refills. It literally took less than 2 minutes to get her on the phone when I first called, too. Every staff member we talked with was pleasant. I can certainly say that a weight has been lifted off our shoulders.

Really disappointed in the WIC department this time around. My toddler had to get his finger pricked to take his iron level. As any toddler would be, he was upset— and continued bleeding A LOT. It was getting everywhere and I could not get it to clot with the gauze the nurse provided. The nurse just stood there and didn’t attempt to help at all. After another minute or so of it failing to clot and still bleeding profusely, the nurse told me I needed to go back to the waiting room. I was honestly in disbelief over this because blood was all over my toddler, myself and dripping everywhere. We were rushed out of the room and I had to try and control the bleeding in the waiting room with many people around us. This is a safety and sanitation hazard! I shouldn’t have to be telling the HEALTH DEPARTMENT this🤦‍♀️
