As a health department it has slightly different procedures from a private office. When confused, the staff was kind and helpful. I received two immunizations and the staff member handling them was wonderful. It was a long appt (1.5 hours for two immunizations) so be prepared that may occur. Several others had much shorter appointments so it varies. They also have price options based on income.

Major kudos to Jennifer S. in the Environmental Health dept for her speed in responding to a records request I made recently, for a copy of septic system maps on a property I own. I was able to make the FOIA request right on the county's website, pay for it, and get the attachments all in the same day. In a manner of hours really, which is SO refreshing in its efficiency. Well done!

Team Tekia is amazing group of professionals. i have been associated with KCH department for over 2 years The level of care, knowledge and compassion is best in class! they take the time to explain options and treatment. I feel this care has been exceptional for me.

Very helpful! Looking for a test to check the Radon levels in my house. The KCHD has them for free! Also available free for real estate, I didn’t ask, but would think that it’s ok for a rental property also. Pick up the kit inside the building but outside of the Environmental Health door on the basement level.

To the ladies in the annex building today doing hearing and vision screening today thank you from the bottom of my heart. You showed this tired mom empathy and understanding when I needed it most. Thank you for being so kind.
