This facility is very unprofessional, they try to push buttons of the patients to try and provoke reactions. They shouted at me over the course of an hour while I was advocating calmly for referral services. Do not go here.

Do not come here for mental health services. I have adhd. Part of that is that when it isn't being controlled w my meds adequately is that I forget things including appointments, at the Peterson location w dr. Barnett this was not an issue because when I started to have this problem they would give me partial refills to last till my appointments to help me remember them, when I started missing appointments here I asked them to do the same, they refused, they then cut me off my meds while I was already struggling and demanding I come for an in person appointment to get my meds when they knew I was not able to do that, my whole life has fallen apart. I should have just left the first two times requests for refills were ignored and I was left for days and one time weeks without my meds

Very poor health care facility. The violate your rights by letting people to video record you to put on youtube for monitary gain without your promission. I know for a fact this is a violation of H.I.P.P.A. Im going to talk to a lawyer about this one. I even have the prove they violated our rights by not stopping him from recording. And the video is on Youtube for me to prove my case.

We had a very disappointing experience at the Lake County Health Department Community Health with my son. I brought him in for an eye infection and asked the PA about doing blood work, including vitamin D, because he gets sick often and I’m trying to focus on prevention. Instead of advocating for my son or having a real conversation, I felt like I was at a store being told over and over that “insurance won’t cover it” and “my director wouldn’t like ordering vitamin D levels.” There was no real patient advocacy or effort to look at what might actually benefit my child. It didn’t feel patient-centered at all. The way my child was treated was also concerning. The patient tech was rough and did not use basic therapeutic communication. Instead of calmly talking to him and asking him to stay still, she handled him physically, which made him uncomfortable. There was a lack of respect and compassion, especially for a child. The most upsetting part was the blood draw. The phlebotomist attempted multiple times and still couldn’t get blood, then told us to reschedule. My son left upset and in pain. This raised concerns about both skill and the principle of “do no harm” (nonmaleficence). Overall, this experience lacked compassion, beneficence, professionalism, and proper communication. I hope the department improves patient advocacy, therapeutic communication, and truly patient-centered care—especially for children.

They receptionist who was at 4 today was very rude and impolite. She didn't give me her name, but it was an older lady wearing a pink shirt with black hair. I told her that I didn't have an insurance card cause I had just moved from Wisconsin. She then said who supports you and your child then without ever asking if I was employed. She got mad when I told her I have a job like I wasnt supposed to be working or something. She then threatened to call the police on my 5 year old because she didn't want to sit down? Someone really needs to give her a good talking to because in my 25 years of living I have never been treated that poorly. The dentist and the dental assistant were very nice though.
