Not sure how the reviews are so low. This place has been great everyone I worked with is amazing and they have nice little toys for the kids

I hate that I cant choose zero stars. I have been a mental health patient for 25 years. My son is also a mental health patient and I recently had to pull him from OCMH. We struggled for 8 months for paperwork that was needed to implement services like housing, adult daily living skills, medication management and employment assistance. These are potentially life changing documents! I gave the clinic the benefit of the doubt because of COVID. In the end, 7 weeks with a new treatment team and papers are being signed after several appointments and evaluations. Thats right, 7 weeks! We waited and called and begged for 8 months at Ontario County Mental Health! I even called the manager who returned my call with the terrible therapist Melanie in the room only to makes excuses for her and the terrible patient care. They even went so far as to blame errors on different agencies. When the other agency was contacted they stated they knew nothing but have seen OCMH do this before. I wish I never took my kid there. Significant delay in real care.

I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you absolutely had no other choice. They will mess up your appointments and then try to pin it on you. I had a run in with a receptionist named Amy that worked here. She was supposed to have emailed me a link for my webex meeting with my psychiatrist but she never did. I then called and informed her of this and she told me I missed it. I then checked my email and informed her that I have never received and email from her, she then told me I was lying. Meanwhile I need a change in my meds and I am unable to get them because Amy is incapable of doing her job. Like I said before, save yourself the heartache and find somewhere else to go.

I called the online number and was able to get all the information I needed for their open hours and helpful tips on how the process will work. When I showed up the process was just as described by the lovely woman I had spoken with when I called. I left the appointment with a follow up and a great experience for my first ever interaction with this facility. The staff was friendly and helpful

No place is all good or all bad. That being said, you can put good people in a bad organization and it will still not be great. That is the case with OCMH. Good people. Decent organization to your face, but it's chaos. In all honesty, I've had several appointments in 2025 alone where my therapist has said "they've put somebody else in my schedule, so I have to end early today." You're expected to go in person to all psychiatry appointments to see a doctor on a screen. Because of this, controlled medications like ADHD meds can't legally be prescribed. I was not told my primary insurance was not accepted until 2 years after I got the insurance. But the people themselves are good, so medium review.
