First they sent me to the wrong office . I'm disabled and lost my partner and drove over1 hour and waited 3 weeks for an apt. Today 7/15 at 1:30 for a death certificate. Talked with them previously. Today Melissa Solis, was rude, had no people skills, or how to deal with grieving people, and knowing I was in the wrong county, had me fill the form and she charged me $21.00 anyway. Plus she talks really low and is hard to understand her. Offered no refund. Told me to go to San Bernardino co. A friend with me was shocked at the rudeness.

On 5/10/21, I spoke with "Emily" about CA COVID Restrictions in Assisted Care Facilities. Emily's customer service skills were excellent and she had a great sense of humor, too! She answered all my questions and dispelled many rumors. An added bonus was Emily connecting me on a conference call with the facility my mother-in-law lives in. Due to Emily's "above and beyond" assistance during these uncertain times, my husband now knows he can visit his 96 year old mom for the first time since 11/2019. Thank you, Emily! Keep up the great work, take care and be safe! 😊

Called on Friday 1/3/25 and spoke to a Barbara Cole. She is supposedly in Management. I tested Positive for Chronic Hepatitis B. I was concerned about possibly spreading it to other individuals. I had this discussion with Ms Cole, who claims she is an RN. Gaslighted me on vaccinations and "Protecting The Public". That's their job and they are terrible at it for sure. We pay for them. She promised me a call on Monday afternoon. Guess what no returned call, big surprise. If you have any serious Medical issues, don't waste your time with this lot. Your California tax dollars at work. A really sorry joke. Read all the other 1 star reviews. Would give them negative stars if I could. Stay away.

I called and the message mentioned the recent holiday. I was then told to call back during normal business hours. I call on a Thursday at 2:30 pm. I think that's pretty normal.

I have visited this place twice and encountered about three staff members. From what I remember, none of them showed even the slightest smile. I would like to ask—this is the office that handles birth certificates, and the birth of a baby is such a joyful event. Yet I couldn’t sense even a bit of happiness or warmth from the staff. Even if someone were here to request a death certificate, they would still deserve some compassion and respect. But honestly, I couldn’t feel that from the staff here either. This might be the most disappointing public service experience I’ve had since coming to the United States. It’s truly confusing—how a place that should be full of joy could feel so cold and lifeless, like a small, icy room. This is just my personal feeling, and I may be wrong. I’m open to being corrected, and I hope the staff here can also be open to some correction.
